ocr: CTscan A diagnostic test that takes pictures of an areaof the body in cross-sections, like slices in a loaf ofbread. X-rays are taken at various angles, and the images are fed: into a computer. The computer then produces a very detailed picture of that area. CT scans are more detailed than an ordinary x-ray.
